Jens Lysdal Hansen was born in 1960 in Sweden. He started playing the recorder at the age of 7 and trumpet at 10, playing with brass bands in Sweden and Denmark. He picked up the guitar at 12 and within a year began playing professionally at school events. At the age of 20 he was admitted at The Royal Danish Music Conservatory. After graduating in 1984 he went on to become an acclaimed sideman and session musician, playing and recording with a string of the biggest acts in Denmark such as Sanne Salomonsen, Sebastian, Povl Dissing, and Etta Cameron. In 1995 he released his first CD A Matter of Time, which became one of the best-reviewed albums in Danish music history. Read more...
