Dart Music International Mission
The mission of DMI is to enrich the culture of Texas by exposing patrons of the arts to other cultures. We do this by eliminating the logistical difficulties associated with international travel for each of our artists so they can have the best possible opportunity to achieve their own artistic and professional goals.
The ultimate goal of Dart Music International (DMI) is to promote international awareness and understanding through music. Texas' role in the international music industry continues to grow, attracting tens of thousands of artists, industry professionals, and music fans from around the world each year. Even in the face of the current global political trends diminishing multicultural exchange, international bands comprise an increasing proportion of this population. Although they come to Texas with many of the same long-term financial and artistic goals as U.S. performers, the effort exacts many unique short-term costs from foreign bands.
DMI helps these performers meet their personal, professional, and artistic goals by minimizing the financial and logistical burdens unique to their situation. We accomplish this by decreasing costs while increasing opportunities for performance. This allows the artists to do what they do best - concentrate on their art - while maximizing their opportunities to connect with the industry professionals and audiences whom they seek. The audiences and the performers alike enjoy the unique opportunity to learn about foreign culture and people.
