Austin Cultural Arts Division

Austin Cultural Arts Division provides leadership and management for the City's cultural arts programs and for the development of arts and cultural industries as an economic development strategy on behalf of the City. The Austin Music Office, a division of Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau, adds meetings to the mix by helping groups book local bands for conventions, keynote luncheons and off-site receptions.

Beyond Persia

Beyond Persia is dedicated to the promotion of the Arts & culture of Iranian diaspora. Iranian artists of all kinds, painters, designers, musicians, writers, and filmmakers are celebrated here, beyond Persia, in the hopes of helping bridge the culture gap existing between our rich history and the new homes in the host nations of millions of displaced Iranians before and since 1979. We collaborate wherever possible and have personnel on each others' Advisory Boards.

The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) believes that every citizen in Texas deserves the opportunity for personal growth and self-expression through the arts. TCA is a proponent of the basic human values of civility, citizenship, and personal and collective accountability. The arts build character, promote creativity, develop higher-order thinking skills, and bring people together by presenting and celebrating cultural differences. At the very core of TCA's funding and service programs is the responsibility for recipient organizations to be accountable to the public investment and to their communities in the broadest, most inclusive way. Their funding of the Austin Cultural Arts Division enabled a grant to Dart Music International that helped us greatly with our 2009 International Night at Friends on Sixth Street and International Day at Agave on Sixth Street events.
